size

It comes in two sizes, small and large. Just measure your head; below 54cm, take the size S; above 54cm, take the size L.

The fabric is very flexible, and it makes a difference if you wear the seam on top or bottom.

Plankton

Inspired by the sight on a safety stop, you know, when you look out into the deep turkey-blue full of tiny microplankton.

Plankton is the hero of our ocean. The drifters are the foundation of the marine food chain. Fish, seabirds and most of the human population are dependent on seafood. Plankton produces a big percentage of our oxygen, and not just that, dead plankton drift down to the seabed and take with them the carbon they contain. And if that's not enough, some of the plankton can glow in the dark!

Parrotfish

Inspired by the bright pink pattern of the bicolour parrotfish in his terminal phase (when she gets more colourful while turning into a male). Do you also love their vivid colours?

Parrotfish eat mainly algae. If you hear a cracking sound while snorkelling, it's probably a parrotfish pulverising corals with its beak; with this method, they can reach algae-filled polyps inside the coral reef. That's why the parrotfish poops sand; the excrement is the undigested remains of coral.

Nori

Inspired by the green nori paper made of eatable algae.

Algae may be considered seaweed, but it's not seagrass. But both are definitely underrated. They're vital for our climate because they produce oxygen (more than forests) and can store carbon from the atmosphere. Seagrass and -weed also keep the water clean, protect the coastline from storms, shelter many small animals, and feed Dugongs and others like us. Algea is an excellent omega-3 source for vegetarians.

Manta

Inspired by the black skin of a manta ray.

We've never been so close to a manta ray to knowing for sure if their skin looks like that, so consider it an abstract graphic pattern.

But we do know that their skin is covered in a mucous film. This is a protective layer which keeps off damaging bacteria.

Soft Tree Coral

Inspired by the shimmering blue from the translucent texture of a blue soft tree coral.

The white strips are calcareous needles, an inner skeleton that strengthens the animal.

care

Wash the headbands at or below 40 °C and iron them only at low temperatures. Do not bleach nor tumble dry.

bluestreak

The tiny Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse represents our brand, and she stands for our desire for a clean ocean. At least 10% of our revenues go to the Ghost Diving Foundation; these guys dive down to get rid of lost fishing nets and other trash. Ghost nets are a trap for marine life, and entangled fish attract carnivore fish that can be bogged down in the lines as well.
